Rīgas Doma Kora Skolas Jauktais Koris (Mixed Choir of the Rīga Dom Choir School), Latvijas Zemessardzes Pūtēju Orķestris (Latvian National Guard Wind Orchestra), organist Dāvids Heinze, and others will be featured performers.

Third Thursdays @ Twelve: Dueling Organs

Organists Graham Schultz (Organist & Choirmaster of St. Stephen’s Church, Providence) and Dāvids Heinze (Associate Organist of Grace Church) will explore repertoire and arrangements for two separate organs that spans multiple centuries. This concert will feature the 2005 Giuttari Continuo Organ that is owned by Brown University and makes its home at Grace Church when not used by the University’s Music Department. This three-stop, mechanical-action organ will be used in tandem with the Hauptwerk Virtual Organ of Grace Church for music by George Frederic Händel, Antonio Soler, Claude Balbastre, and others.

Collegium Ancora (a professional chamber choir that serves as ‘ensemble-in-residence’ at Grace Church in Providence) presents a concert featuring two works that exemplify the pinnacle of both a cappella and accompanied choral settings of the Mass Ordinary: Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Minor for Soloists & Double Choir and Zoltán Kodály’s Missa Brevis for Choir & Organ. Collegium will be joined by prize-winning, Latvian-American organist, Dāvids Heinze for the Kodály mass.
